  Day 01 Arrive Yangon

Arrive Yangon, welcomed by our tour guide and transfer to hotel.

Day 02 Yangon – Mandalay (by flight)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to MANDALAY. Arrive and transfer to Hotel.
Afternoon, proceed on a comprehensive sightseeing tour including MAHAMUNI Pagoda, with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, SHWE INBIN Monastery, one of the most outstanding monasteries in the country, SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG or GOLDEN PALACE Monastery, a superb example of a traditional wooden building, KUTHODAW Pagoda, known as the World Biggest Book for its 729 stone slabs of Buddhist Scriptures. Visit a traditional hand-woven silk workshop as well as a Kalaga tapestries craftsmen’s shop before proceeding to MANDALAY Hill, for sunset. Overnight at Hotel in Mandalay.

Day 03 Amarapura, Innwa & Mingun

After breakfast, excursion by road to ancient capital of AMARAPURA, 15 kilometers south of Mandalay, visit MAHAGANDAYON Monastery; a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study, continue to 1.2 Km long 200 years old U BEIN Bridge, built of huge teak logs salvaged form AVA Royal Palace. Visit BAGAYA Monastery, with a superb collection of Buddha statues. Then excursion to the former Royal Capital of INNWA (AVA), tour highlights with horse cart to MAHA AUNGMYE BONZAN Monastery, ruins of ancient AVA, WATCH Tower, fort walls and brick causeway. Return to Mandalay. Afternoon, transfer to jetty for a boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy River to MINGUN, about 11 km (1 hour) upriver from Mandalay, with visits to the MINGUN Bell, weighing 90 tons and claimed as the largest uncracked bell in the world; HSINBYUME Paya, and the unfinished MINGUN Paya, built as one of the world’s largest chedi by King Bodaw Paya. Return to Mandalay.

Day 04 Mandalay – Bagan (by boat)
    
After breakfast, early start of boat journey on the AYEYARWADDY River to BAGAN. This downriver trip takes about 8 hours (depending on river condition, it might take longer). On arrival, transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Bagan.

Day 05 Bagan

After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing Bagan by visiting: Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda - the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas built by King Anawrahta; Ananda Temple - King Kyansittha's masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the early style temple of architecture, Kyansitha Umin, Thatbyinnyu Temple - the highest building on the Bagan plain; and Htilominlo Temple - the largest temples of Bagan. Lunch at a Restaurant. Evening visit to Lacquer-ware making home cottage; Manuha Temple; Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple - known for its wall paintings depicting scenes from the Jataka; and Dhamanyangyi Temple – the most massive temple of Bagan. Evening, visit Shwesandaw Pagoda or Bupaya to watch sunset.

Day 06 Bagan – Mt. Popa – Kalaw (by car)

After early breakfast, a 300 km drive (8 hours) will take you to Kalaw. En route you will visit MOUNT POPA, an extinct volcano with spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits known as “nats” and you will have time to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. After lunch at simple local restaurant en route, the journey continues on a narrow, winding and bumpy road through the Shan Hills. In the late afternoon you will reach KALAW, a fresh and delightful hill station, on the rim of the Shan Plateau, which is a market center for ethnic minorities from surrounding regions. Overnight at Hotel in Kalaw.

Day 07 Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle Lake (by car)

After Breakfast, drive to PINDAYA (48 km - 1 1/2 hours) to the small quiet town of PINDAYA, where sight-seeing highlights include the PINDAYA Caves, unique for the thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries. Proceed by road to NYAUNG SHWE (95 km - 2 1/2 hrs). Arrive and transfer to Hotel for check-in. Overnight at Hotel in Nyaung Shwe.                                                                                                                                                                 

Day 08 Inle Lake

After Breakfast, an excursion by boat on Inle Lake (about 4 hrs), to see the Intha-fishermen rowing with their legs, Pagoda on artificial islands in the lake, floating gardens and floating market (on market’s day only), continue to PHAUNG DAW OO Pagoda, one of the main principle shrines in Myanmar and dating back to the 18th century; the NGA PHE KYAUNG Monastery, famous for its jumping cats trained by monks and the weaving village of INPAWKHON. Overnight at Hotel in Nyaung Shwe.

Day 09 Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon (by flight)

After breakfast, excursion by boat to the Western Shore of Inle Lake to visit the INN THEIN Pagoda complex, found after following a stair path lined up with magnificent columns.
After Lunch, transfer to Heho airport for domestic flight to
YANGON. Arrive in Yangon and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.
                                                           

Day 10 Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (by coach)

After early breakfast, drive to KIN PUN Base Camp (194 km - 5 hours). Continue to KYAIKHTIYO the “Golden Rock”, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. From KIN PUN, we have to drive 11 km to the intermediate point. From the upper area, travelers must, at present, walk the final stage, approximately 4 km, up steep paths which ascend some 500 m to the GOLDEN ROCK. On arrival, watch the beauty of sunset or dawn at this important pilgrimage site. Overnight at Hotel in Kyaikhto.



Day 11 Kyaikhtiyo – Bago - Yangon (by coach)

After breakfast, return to BAGO (110 km - 3 1/2 hours). Sightseeing includes the SHWEMAWDAW Pagoda, over a thousand years old, its spire is even taller than SHWEDAGON Pagoda. The 55 meter long reclining SHWE THALYAUNG Buddha image is among the country’s most revered.
Afternoon, continue to YANGON (84 km - 1 1/2 hours), en route, visit the Allied War Graves cemetery near HTAUK KYANT and a tree shrine dedicated to a legendary “Nat”. Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.



Day 12 Yangon

Tour of Yangon's city center featuring Chaukhtatgyi, a colossal reclining Buddha; Karaweik hall, a Royal barge on the Royal Lake and Bogyoke (Scott) market with hundreds of stall for souvenirs. End up the day with World famous Shwedagon Pagoda, the most venerable of all places of worship in South East Asia. Witness the golden dome light up with sunshine as the sunsets. Overnight at Hotel in Yangon.


Day 13 Departure

Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure flight.
